About the story

The Gift of Time is the first book in The Nion Prophecies, a fantasy adventure for young readers who love hidden worlds, ancient magic, brave friendships and mysteries that do not reveal themselves all at once.

At the heart of Nion stands the Pool of Past, Present and Future, surrounded by carved wooden pillars. The prophecies do not simply tell what will happen. They seem to respond to what people choose.

Maya's first journey to Nion ends with a choice: return home or stay and put her friends in greater danger. She returns changed, carrying proof that Nion was real and that her family's connection to the prophecies may be only beginning.
